These probably have to be my favorite brownie recipe. They taste like normal brownies to me. Texture and taste are important to me, it has to taste like the real deal. I think these brownies are the closest I have come to normal brownies. And is there anything better than a good brownie? Only with these you won’t have the guilt of eating a processed, sugar filled brownie, but it will taste like you did. So the next time your in the mood for a good satisfying brownie, give theses a try.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips ( I use lily’s dark chocolate chips)

  • 2/3 cup coconut oil, butter, or vegan butter

  • 3 eggs or 3 tbsp. flax meal + 4 tbsp water mixed in a small bowl

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  • 4 tbsp. cocoa powder

  • 3/4 cup garbanzo bean flour

  • 3/4 cup maple syrup

  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips (optional)

  • 1/3 cup nuts of choice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease 8x8 brownies pan or line with parchment paper.

  3. Melt chocolate chips and butter or coconut oil together either in the microwave or double boiler on the stove. If microwaving only microwave about 20 seconds at a time and stir in between until its all melted together. Set aside to cool.

  4. Beat eggs together in large bowl until slightly foamy, or if using the flax meal + water mixture add that to the bowl. Add in maple syrup and whisk until well combined.

  5. Add chocolate/butter or oil mixture and vanilla and stir to combine.

  6. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold in until well combined.

  7. Add chocolate chips and/or nuts (optional)

  8. Pour into greased or lined brownie pan and bake for 30-40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
